American honda motor company, inc. (honda) is recalling certain model year 2008 pilot vehicles. upon deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
Consequencs:
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupants.
Notes:
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver side frontal air bag inflator in all affected vehicles, free of charge. the manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. owners may contact honda customer service at 1-800-999-1009. note: this recall is an expansion of recall 14v-351.

Honda is recalling certain model year 2001-2002 honda accord and civic, model year 2002 cr-v and odyssey, model year 2002-2003 3.2tl and one vehicle for model year 2003 honda pilot, civic and acura 3.2cl passenger vehicles. the driver's airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure. if an affected airbag deploys, the increased internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
Consequencs:
Metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material possibly causing injury or fatality to vehicle occupants.
Notes:
Dealers will replace the airbag inflator free of charge. the safety recall began on february 26, 2010. owners may contact honda automobile customer service at 1-800-999-1009.

Honda is recalling certain model year 2009-2011 pilot vehicles manufactured from march 13, 2008, through august 30, 2011. there is a possibility that the stitching that secures the end of the driver and front passenger lap section of the seatbelt may be incomplete or missing.
Consequencs:
If the stitching is incomplete or missing, the seatbelt may detach from the anchor webbing, increasing the risk of personal injury in a crash.
Notes:
Honda dealers will conduct a specialized inspection of the driver and front passenger seatbelts, and if necessary, replace the seatbelts, free of charge. the safety recall began on october 5, 2011. owners may contact honda automobile customer service at 1-800-999-1009.

Honda is recalling certain model year 2009-2013 pilot and 2011-2013 odyssey passenger vehicles manufactured from march 13, 2008, through december 21, 2012. one or more rivets that attach the airbag module to the airbag cover may be missing.
Consequencs:
The absence of more than one rivet could alter the performance of the driver's airbag during deployment. this could potentially increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Notes:
Honda will notify owners and instruct them to take their vehicle to a honda dealer. the dealer will inspect the driver's airbag module and replace it if necessary, free of charge. the recall began on march 14, 2013. owners may contact honda at 1-800-999-1009.
