Honda is recalling certain model year 2006 and 2007 ridgeline vehicles manufactured between january 17, 2005, and june 7, 2006. a wiring harness connector for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (hvac) blower motor located under the passenger's side of the instrument panel may be accessible to kicking by the front seat passenger's feet. if this occurs, the connector terminal may overheat, and this may cause the wire insulation to melt or the wiring connector to melt.
Consequencs:
Should the wiring insulation melt and the exposed wires make contact with each other (short circuit), a fire may occur.
Notes:
Dealers will inspect and if the wiring connector is damaged it will be replaced and all vehicles will have the protective cover installed free of charge. the safety recall began on march 15, 2010. owners may contact honda at 1-800-999-1009.

(honda) is recalling certain model year 2001-2007 accord (4-cylinder), 2001-2002 accord (v6), 2001-2005 civic, 2002-2006 cr-v, 2003-2011 element, 2002-2004 odyssey, 2003-2007 pilot, 2006 ridgeline, 2003-2006 acura mdx, and 2002-2003 tl/cl vehicles. upon deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
Consequencs:
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupants.
Notes:
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflators in all affected vehicles, free of charge. owners of vehicles in florida, puerto rico, hawaii, alabama, louisiana, georgia, south carolina, texas, and the u.s. virgin islands, were notified on or about september 2014. honda began notifying owners in all other locations in january 2015. owners may contact honda customer service at 1-800-999-1009.

Consequencs:
The language in the owner's manuals is not in accordance with the current mandatory requirements.
Notes:
